Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 22, 2026
Roofers Lab, a service of Kraken OS LLC (doing business as Roofers Lab) ("Roofers Lab," "we," "us," or "our"), provides this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, share and protect information when you visit rooferslab.com (the "Site") or use the services we offer to residential roofing companies (the "Services"). By using the Site or the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope and Our Two Roles
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect about you when you interact with us directly, for example, as a roofing company evaluating or purchasing our Services, or as a visitor to our Site.
We also provide marketing systems to our roofing-company clients. When a homeowner submits information through a website, quote tool or messaging program that we provide for one of our clients, we process that information as a service provider on that client's behalf, and the client's own privacy policy governs how that homeowner's information is used. This Privacy Policy does not cover our clients' independent data practices. If you are a homeowner who contacted a roofing company, please contact that company directly for its privacy policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us:
- Call and fit-check requests. When you complete our fit check, we collect the solutions you express interest in, your name, email address, phone number and any details you choose to share. The fit check is hosted on our behalf by our customer-relationship platform, and submitting it tells us you want us to contact you about the services you selected. We use the contact details you provide to reply by phone, email or text message.
- Free SEO audit tool. When you request a free audit, we collect the website URL and business identifiers you submit. We then review the publicly available pages of that website.
- Instant roof quote demo. The quote demonstration on our Site is for illustration only; it does not store or transmit visitor contact information. (The production version of this tool, which we operate on our clients' websites, collects homeowner leads for that client, as described in Section 1.)
Information we collect automatically:
- Server and hosting logs, including IP addresses, which we use for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Local browser storage flags (for example, returning-visitor and popup-shown markers) and cookies set by embedded third-party services.
- Analytics and advertising data. We use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers and collect usage information about how visitors interact with the Site, such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring source. This information is transmitted to Google and to Meta, who process it as described in their own privacy policies.
- Visit and referral tracking. Our customer-relationship platform provides website tracking that records the pages you visit and the referral information your browser supplies, including advertising click identifiers carried in the link you arrived from. If you later submit a form on our Site, that visit history is associated with your contact record so we know which source brought you to us. This runs on our behalf under the same service-provider terms described in Section 6.
Information from your use of the Services:
- Leads and communications submitted through our Site or the Services flow into our customer relationship management and communications platform, which is operated by third-party service providers acting on our behalf.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to: respond to your requests and provide discovery calls; deliver, operate, maintain and improve the Services; communicate with you by phone, email and text message; provide the free SEO audit you request; schedule appointments; secure our Site and prevent abuse and fraud; comply with legal obligations; and, only if you have given the applicable consent, send marketing communications.
If you opt in, we may contact you by phone, email and SMS. SMS conversations may be handled in part by our disclosed AI assistant, with human handoff available.
Calls, recordings and transcripts. Phone calls with us, including calls handled by our disclosed AI voice agent, may be recorded or transcribed for quality, training, service delivery and record-keeping purposes. Where the law of your state requires it, you will be notified of, or asked to consent to, recording before or at the start of a call. The content of your communications with us (calls, texts and emails) is processed by our platform and communications infrastructure providers on our behalf.
4. Phone Numbers and Text Messaging (SMS)
How we collect and use phone numbers. We collect your phone number when you submit it through our fit check or provide it to us directly. We use your phone number to respond to your request, to provide and support the Services, to deliver account and service notifications, and to send marketing messages only with your separate, express opt-in.
Our SMS program. Our text-messaging program is operated under the name "Roofers Lab." After you opt in, you may receive:
- Account and service messages, such as responses to your inquiry, appointment confirmations and reminders, and customer-support communications; and
- Marketing messages about special offers, discounts and service updates, but only if you provided separate, optional marketing consent.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, and reply HELP for help. See our Terms of Service for the full SMS terms.
SMS consent is never sold or shared for third-party marketing. Your opt-in and your consent to receive text messages, and the mobile information associated with that consent, are used only to operate our messaging program. We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
The following describes our practice regarding mobile information:
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our Site uses cookies, local browser storage and similar technologies, including cookies set by the embedded third-party service that hosts our fit check. These support core functionality (such as remembering that a popup has been shown). We also use analytics and advertising technologies: Google Analytics 4, which helps us understand how visitors use the Site; the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which measures the performance of our advertising and allows us to reach visitors with advertising on Meta platforms; and website tracking provided by our customer-relationship platform, which records your visits and the advertising click identifiers you arrived with, and links them to your contact record if you submit a form. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality. For details, including how to opt out, see our Cookie Policy.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do disclose limited online activity information to advertising partners as described below, which state privacy laws may treat as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:
- With third-party service providers and subcontractors that operate our platform and communications infrastructure and provide support services (such as hosting, customer service, scheduling, CRM and communications) on our behalf, under obligations to protect the information and to use it only for the services they provide to us;
- With our analytics and advertising partners, Google and Meta, which receive online identifiers and Site activity information through the analytics and advertising technologies described in Section 5. Meta may use this information to show you advertising on its platforms. This is the disclosure that state privacy laws may treat as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you can opt out as described in Section 7 and on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page;
- When required to comply with law, legal process or enforceable governmental requests, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others; and
- In connection with a business transfer (such as a merger, financing or acquisition), subject to this Privacy Policy.
As stated in Section 4, text-messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from all sharing except with subcontractors providing support services on our behalf, and are never shared for third-party marketing.
7. Your Privacy Rights (California and Other States)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended) to:
- Access or know the personal information we hold about you;
- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising; and
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do use advertising technology that state privacy laws may treat as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as described in Sections 2, 5 and 6. To opt out, send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser, which we honor automatically; block or clear cookies in your browser settings; or submit a request to us using the details below. To exercise any right, contact us at support@rooferslab.com, or use our Privacy Rights Request page. We will verify your request as required by law, using information we have on file. Where required, we will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days; if we need more time, we may extend once by an additional 45 days and will notify you. If we deny your request, you may appeal, and a different reviewer will consider the appeal and provide a written outcome. You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf. Where required by applicable law, we recognize and honor opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC). For more on our sale and sharing practices, see our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Site and the Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. For lead and contact information, that means while we are responding to your inquiry or providing the Services, and for a reasonable period afterward so we can maintain business records, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting requirements. When we no longer have a business reason to keep information, we delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion sooner at any time as described in Section 7 (Your Privacy Rights), and we will honor the request unless the law requires us to retain the information.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
